Mix some flour with seasoning to taste. Cut about 2 pounds moose round steak into 1-inch pieces, and roll in flour to coat well. Brown meat lightly, and scrape into a kettle. Add:
Cook over a slow fire or medium heat for one-and-a-half to two hours. Mushrooms may be added during the last half hour to 5 minutes before serving.
The stew may be varied by substituting 1 cup water for tomatoes, and the last hour of cooking adding sliced carrots and celery and cut-up potatoes.
