Beginning in April 2010, the Education Department was restructured to bring together all aspects of education under a single department, and to focus the efforts of the department on expanding and improving education services to meet the growing demands of the Nation.

Current program responsibilities include: Early Childhood Education; K-12 Education; Adult Education; Occupational Health and Safety; and Social Assistance.
