The role of the Elders Council is to advise Chief and Council on issues facing the Kwanlin Dün community. It also provides the Elders with a vital link to the KDFN community.
A person must be at least 60 years old to sit on the Elders Council (all KDFN Elders are members of the Council).
The Elders Council may meet once per month or as determined from time to time. The Council also selects one representative to attend Chief and Council meetings
An Elders Councillor oversees the council and organizes activities and events for the elders. They also provide support and they help elders with many things, such as filling out forms.
