Salary: $90,344 to $120,538 per annum (Level 9) plus benefits

Position Type: Full-time Permanent

Description

Reporting to Executive Director this position is responsible for all matters related to community services, housing, tenancy and capital infrastructure for the Kwanlin Dün First Nation. We are looking for a strategic leader to move us forward with the political direction and momentum already in place.

The position is responsible and accountable for the planning, organization of the day to day operations and provides direction to staff regarding activities and functions. Capital and community planning, budget management inclusive of contract administration, and the management of personnel are all components of the position.

Essential Qualifications:
• Post -secondary education in Business, Management, Construction, Project management or related, combined with progressive experience (10 or more years) at senior level positions, preferably in a government environment
• Experience developing strategic plans and implementation work plans
• Experience establishing, managing and reporting on budgets, funding agreements, contracts and various projects
• Experience implementing land claim and self-government agreements is an asset
• Experience policy development and implementation
• Experience leading a team; proven leadership skills including experience leading teams, supervising and managing staff
• Experience working as an effective and contributing member of a senior management team

Knowledge of and familiarity with Kwanlin Dün First Nation history, culture, goals and aspirations is necessary for success in this position.

An equivalent combination of significant post-secondary schooling combined with significant experience in the areas identified above will equally be considered.
