Health Centre Receptionist

Salary: Level 3 $26.75 – $33.16 per hour

Position Type: Casual full time to March 31, 2020 and relief Auxiliary on Call

The Natsékhi Kų̀ Health Centre (Health Centre) within the Kwanlin Dün First Nation is looking for a full time casual receptionist to start work ASAP through March 31, 2020. We are also seeking relief on call reception staff for the Health Centre.

The ideal candidate is motivated and enthusiastic, has excellent people skills. Initiative and being on time for work every day is key!

Our KDFN Hiring Preference Policy is in effect, please self-identify if you are KDFN.

Qualifications:
• Completion of business administration or office administration coursework
• Experience providing first point of contact client support
• Minimum of 2 years work experience providing reception, clerical and administrative support in a confidential setting, preferably for a health program
• Experience working successfully with computers (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher), providing support with letter writing, poster design and basic spreadsheet maintenance.

An equivalent combination of education, training and considerable clerical support experience in a confidential environment will equally be considered.


Knowledge of Kwanlin Dün First Nation heritage and culture, community, social structures, goals and aspirations is required for success.

Knowledge of substance use, trauma, residential school and inter-generational effects in community is required.

Conditions of Employment: acceptable pre-employment criminal record check; First Aid & CPR and Food Safe level 1 (or willingness to obtain within first 6 months of hire); provide a copy of one’s immunization record & have a pre-employment TB test.
