The Kwanlin Dün Council has approved holding a referendum on November 9, 2016 to confirm whether citizens will support amending section 63 of the Kwanlin Dün Constitution.

WHO CAN VOTE?
Kwanlin Dün citizens who are 18 or older and whose name appears on the Voters list are eligible to vote in the referendum in four different ways:
1) Regular Voting: November 9, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. - Nàkwät’à Kų̀ Potlatch House (#27 McIntyre Drive)
2) Advance Voting: October 18, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. - Nàkwät’à Kų̀ Potlatch House (#27 McIntyre Drive)
3) Special Voting: Any voter may request a special ballot 30 days prior until 2 days prior to voting day (October 9, 2016 to November 7, 2016) A voter is responsible to contact the Chief Returning Officer for a special ballot. The Chief Returning Officer may deliver a special ballot to those voters who are housebound or in an institution.
4) Mail In Voting: Any voter who lives outside of the Kwanlin Dün Traditional Territory may contact the Chief Returning Officer and request to vote by mail-in ballot. All mail in ballots need to be returned to the Chief Returning Officer by November 3, 2016 to be included in the final voting results.
