Kwanlin Dun First Nation is setting up a Justice Caucus to advise and guide Kwanlin Dun negotiations on administration of justice. KDFN is preparing to develop a mandate to begin substantive justice negotiations in the 2012-2013 fiscal year.
Working with the Kwanlin Dun justice negotiator and legal counsel, the caucus responsibilities will include:
• meeting with negotiation team, as appropriate, and providing guidance and recommendations on negotiation process and issues;
• helping to identify key KDFN justice issues;
• providing feedback on consultation processes, materials and documents; and
• participating in consultation processes with KDFN citizens and community.
