The Kwanlin Koyotes Ski Club is currently seeking volunteers to act as coaches and mentors for our group of youth ages 6 and up.
Interested in having some fun, spending time outdoors AND helping youth?
The Kwanlin Koyotes is a volunteer driven program that teaches lifeskills and personal development through vigorous physical activity. It helps children develop inner strength, a belief in themselves, resilience and a determination to succeed. We aim to teach lifeskills as well as skiing. The training includes physical, mental, emotional and spiritual components as children learn about their own inner strengths.
This program is about so much more than skiing, the main goal is to have fun so you don’t have to be a virtuoso skier to join us!
Our group meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 3-5pm at the Kwanlin Koyote Cabin (behind the Kwanlin Dun Health Center, off McIntyre Dr.). We are hoping to find a group of volunteers who can commit to attending one session per week.
Our ski club will start as soon as there’s enough snow to pack the trails! We will also be hosting a training day for all volunteers in November, date TBA.
