There has been a lot of work done to discuss and prepare the three policies being voted on during the referendum. Here is a timeline that shows what has been done to develop the policies:
Chief and Council sent out calls to Beneficiaries to sit on three different working groups to develop the policies. The members of each group were:
Investment Governance policy working group:
Joseph Fred, Fred Holloway, Renie Bruton, Shirley Bien, Edith Baker, Bill Webber
Settlement Land policy working group:
Sean Smith, Dianne Smith, Joan Viksten, Tammy Joe, Charlie Burns
Consultation policy working group:
Joseph Fred, Fred Holloway, Renie Bruton, Shirley Bien, Edith Baker, Bill Webber
Beneficiaries approved the final wording for the proposed policies at a meeting on September 28 2009. The proposed policies will be voted on by all eligible KDFN Beneficiaries this spring.
