Is this referendum about payouts?

No, there is no question in this referendum about payouts. This referendum is about voting on three different policies only (land, investment and consultation).

These three policies, if approved, will guide the development of new laws that will deal with managing our Settlement Lands, managing our money and consulting with beneficiaries.

Winners of Voters Draw

On June 21st, at a celebration BBQ event, the Voters Draw was held. Everyone who voted in person or by mail had their name put in a hat.

The lucky winners were:

* ELLIE SHORTY won 1st Prize (a Norseman Wall Tent (10 X 12 X 5) & Stove)
* JUSTIN SMITH won 2nd Prize (an Air North Summer Solstice Air Pass)
* CHRISTOPHER STERRIAH won 3rd Prize (a BBQ)

These prizes were offered by the KDFN government to encourage eligible KDFN beneficiaries to vote in the referendum.

The prizes were not associated with the Chief Returning Officer.
