My name is Brandie Chetcuti and I am a new Education Support Coordinator (ESC) for Kwanlin Dün First Nation high school students. The position has been changed from CELC with the retirement of Evelyn Troy. My office is at Porter Creek Secondary School, and sometimes I am also located at Kenädän Kų̀, the House of Learning, in McIntyre subdivision. I also support students at the Independent Learning Centre (ILC), Youth Achievement Centre (YAC), FH Collins Secondary School (FH) and Vanier Catholic Secondary School.
It is my job, and honour, to support Kwanlin Dün First Nation students and their families while students are on their path through high school. Just a few of the things I can help with:
I little about me: I grew up a ½ hour outside of Whitehorse and have always loved the Yukon, my home. I have two kids, ages 10 and 12, and discovering the importance of positive guidance in their lives has inspired me to become a leader for other youth during the teenage years. We have two dogs, two guinea and love anything related to the outdoors.
In my life I strive for balance, kindness and general health. I value learning and I truly enjoy opportunities to “meet folks where they are at” and walk with them during their journeys.
