Walk-in Nursing Clinic

If you have a medical problem and would like to see a nurse, you can visit the drop-in clinic at Natsékhi Kų̀ from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 11:45 am and then 1 p.m to 4 pm.

The nurse can:

  • monitor your health
  • provide health education
  • help with illness management
  • provide an immunization or other communicable disease control

Healthy Indigenous Adult Program

This program is for those 19 years and older interested in staying healthy or improving their health. A registered nurse is available to discuss your health goals with you and provide counselling, support, and referrals to help you reach your goals. If you are a Kwanlin Dün citizen and 19 years or older you may also be eligible for Canada Games Centre passes. Staying up to date with your immunizations is one of the best ways to protect yourself and your family against serious illness.  If you have questions about your immunization status or need to get an immunization you can visit the clinic during walk in hours or call 867-668-7289.

Quit smoking

Quitting smoking is one of the best things you can do for your health.  If you are thinking about quitting, the Quit Path program can help support you.  You will be offered support to help you quit and may be able to get nicotine replacement therapy such as the nicotine patch, gum, etc.  To sign up for the Quit Path program or learn more, visit the clinic nurse or check out QuitPath.ca.

Sexual and reproductive health

The clinic offers testing for sexually transmitted and blood borne illnesses.  You can also visit the clinic if you need emergency contraception (Plan B), or want to talk about birth control.

Health promotion lunch and learns

The Health Centre hosts a monthly ‘Lunch and Learn’ on the first Wednesday of each month on a variety of health topics.  Come and enjoy lunch while learning something new.  For details on the monthly topic check out the KDFN events calendar.
