On March 24, 2026 friends, family, community and a few special guests gathered at the Nàkwät’à Kų̀ Potlatch House to witness the swearing in of Kwanlin Dün First Nation’s newly elected leaders.
Judicial council members Margaret McKay and Rose Wilson presided over the ceremony, whereby Chief Sean Smith and Council members Shirley Bien, Amanda Calbery, Charlene Charlie, Troy Friday, Mike Stanley and Lester Wilson affirmed their commitment to the people of Kwanlin Dün, including ancestors and future generations.
