Kwanlin Dün First Nation (KDFN) Heritage, Lands & Resources Department is seeking to hire a seasonal full-time Fisheries Technician and Fisheries Technician Trainee. These positions are focused on fisheries monitoring, freshwater fish, and environmental stewardship. These opportunities will be based in Whitehorse and surrounding areas, with the potential for extension based on project needs and funding availability.

The Fisheries Technician will support KDFN fisheries monitoring programs including salmon and freshwater fish projects.

The Fisheries Technician Trainee is an entry-level training position intended to provide hands-on experience in fisheries monitoring and environmental stewardship. The trainee will work under the supervision of Fisheries Technicians and gain practical field skills while supporting KDFN fisheries projects.
