Last week, the KDFN Southern Tutchone Immersion class enjoyed the first of two Culture Camps at Jackson Lake.

At the beginning of the program, the class created ceremony bags and prayer cloths. At last week’s camp, students crafted items to be added to those bags. They can carry these wherever their language journey takes them. Intentions are put into prayer cloths and the items themselves.

Students also worked with Diyet Music to write a Southern Tutchone song and prayer.
