The Chasàn Tatäy residential subdivision development is under development.
KDFN is preparing to support access to lots, homes and housing units to Beneficiaries and Citizens. The subdivision will include 26 single family and duplex lots and 8 multi-family lots.
The development of the Chasàn Tatäy residential subdivision is helping KDFN to meet the goals of the Traditional Territory Land Vision and the Community Lands Plan by creating a long-term source of revenue for our Nation. By ensuring KDFN Beneficiaries and Citizens are the first in line to access building and housing opportunities, the development upholds the requirements of the KDFN Nan kay sháwthän Däk’anúta ch’e (Lands Act).
KDFN’s Heritage, Lands & Resources team is developing a preferential offering process. The first step of which is being initiated through this Seeking of Interest, with several opportunities to engage and liaise with the Department being available this summer and fall in advance of all in-ground services being completed.
Citizens and Beneficiaries who are interested in this opportunity should join the Chasàn Tatäy list of potential buyers, even if they feel unsure if their current financial situation will enable them to purchase a lot or house, or what option specifically they would have interest in. KDFN Economic Development has a financial coaching and support program for aspiring homeowners. By putting your name on this list, you will also stay up to date on future opportunities and offering information. Depending on the opportunity, you may need:
- mortgage or financing pre-approval
- a down payment
- other documents or eligibility information
Prices for lots and homes are not available yet. More information will be shared as the subdivision development continues.
To learn more or add your name to the list, contact Emily McDougall at HLR at 867-334-2115 or chasantatay@kdfn.net. We can also meet with you to go over the different housing and land options available.
