It’s a crazy story: it was tremendous, challenging, and rewarding,that’s KDFN Language & Culture Connector Claire Strauss on last week’s Yukon Parka-making workshop. An extra day of work and overcoming major hiccups allowed Jolene, Tyler, Jennifer, Nita and Alisha to walk out of the workshop with complete parkas – Karen and Kristine will complete their parkas at another date. Ellenise Profeit was a tireless seamstress and problem-solver working with the group until the very end.
