Last week, a group of KDFN staff made a trip out to Jackson Lake Healing Camp to celebrate the Long Service Awards. The staff members who have worked with KDFN for more than 5, 10 and 15 years received a certificate and words of acknowledgment for their contributions. These are people who have put years of their life into moving our government forward, caring for the buildings and spaces that we call home, keeping us safe, nurturing our babies and much more. Shä̀w níthän, másin cho, gunałchÎsh, thank you to all KDFN staff members for their contributions over the years. We look forward to many more years working with you.
Below are a few questions posed to KDFN staff in attendance at the gathering, and their answers:
What moment made you proud to work for KDFN?
Watching the growth of the First Nation from the old village to the McIntyre Band office to the new administrative building.
