Attention KDFN! Highly pathogenic avian influenza is still present in Canada, and people who spend time on the land should be aware so they can take steps to prevent its spread. According to the Canadian Wildlife Service, two birds in the North West Territories have tested positive this year. Birds from across the north are being tested, but results are not yet available. Please educate yourself on limiting the spread of the disease, handle game meat safely, and report dead or sick birds but do not touch them.
